The Dancing Poem
The poem is like a dance,
That the poet choreographs.
The words are the dancers,
Twisting, twirling, jumping,
On the open stage.
They follow no rule or pattern,
But yet they stay on a steady beat.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
