    The Crush

Here's a little story about a man named Jed
    Oh that's the wrong story
So I flip the scriptics instead
    Started so long ago
    An attraction once felt
    Never got the chance
Dis was the hand I got dealt
    Once admired from afar
I remember that booty to boot
    Her shortness in size
And oh hell yeah she's cute
    Her pretty brown eyes
    Dark brownish black hair
    Just sneaking a peek
Cause I would not dare stare
Here's where the story get's weird
    By fate or by God
    I've run into this crush
    & she calls me A-Rod
    We exchanged e-mails
    & conversed on the phone
    Even sent txts.
2 my heart she's been shown
    Getting to know her
    Afetr 23 yrs.
    I am blown away
As I hold back the tears
    Tears of the happy
    And not of the sad
    2 be re-aquainted
With this crush I once had
    I do not know why?
    Nor do I care
    All I am saying is
    This time I'll stare
    To bask in her presence
    Again with this fate
I'd sweeep her off her feet
    & have her chariot await
    This crush that I have
    Once held in my youth
    Sends goosebumps inside
    I'm speaking the truth
    After so long ago
    We barely just spoke
    Now here she is
    This Lover of Coke
    The cola kind of course
    Not the other you thought
    This here lil cutie
    & the inspiration she's brought
    Like an old fashion movie
Lets say Gone With The Wind
    This crush that I have
    Has my heart pinned
    I cannot surrender
    Just go with the flow
    If it's meant to be
    In GODS hands I'll know
    Just want to say thanks
    For a chance to re-meet
    If only for the moment
I was light on my feet
    To be lighter than air
As if swept off my feet
    Shhh did you hear that
    My heart skipped a beat
I now end this hear Poem
    Here's 1 for the ages
    The accounts of my Love
    All built up in stages

This is so real, and catchy too:)

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
