    The cove

    Deep in the cove,
    unbeleiving how quiet it was,
I could not understant the emptiness.
    Why I even cared,
    I could not understand.
    I,ve given up it seemed,
    in caring that is,
so why did this change anything?
    Maybe the tall white crane,
that sat at the edge of the water 'awaiting his fill,
or was it the thrashing tail of the bigger fish ,
obviously dominating his way through the somewhat 'murky water.
    I just dont know,
but when I think of that day,
    I can remember it ,
as if it were a new beginning.

Wow, I love the raw sort of honesty this has. You don't try to disguise what u want to say with fancy language or impossible metaphors, which I think is good. It's quite easy to understand but you chose something meaningful to write about, therefore in my opinion, it is a good poem. I actually enjoy the unsureness in the poem, but yet, the person who is writing it, is sure that 'something' was different. I really like this. Well done :) I hope to read more

    Your my hero.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
