The Christmas Kiss

On christmas eve and all around
were a lot of people making a lot of sound
I kept looking but could never find
the one that's in my mind
shes the one I want to kiss
but im afraid I might miss
the chance in my lifetime
then in the moment I saw you
I walked up to you and started talking
and then at the same time
we walked in to the kitchen and then
as we walked out you stopped me
you told me to look up and see
so I did and there was a mistletoe
and then I finally got the thing
that was the first thing on my list
my very own christmas kiss
by the girl that I want to spend my life with

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
