The Blank Canvas
The Blank Canvas
Life is a blank canvas
It begins white and pure
Wrapped and fresh
Innocently waiting
Splash of red the first day
Signals the birth is done
Colors of childhood
Swirl into one another
Pink her first dress
Blue his new jeans
Green grass underneath
Yellow shining sun above
Orange a favored fruit
Pastels and shades
Patterns and plain
Ever-changing
Sharp and bold
Old and slow
Covered in black
