THANKSGIVING
Mmmmm, mmmm, mmmm, smell that wonderful aroma!!! Turkey baking in the oven, Momma making collard greens and sweet potatoes, with all her good lovin! Sweet corn with tidbits of red peppers, chicken and dumplings, salads with everything and tender string beans! Daddy's helping out too, said he's going to bake his famous buttermilk bisquing, with a style of his own crazy recipe mixing! Who's bringing the glazed spiral ham, with little onion pearls and smoked aroma swirls! Apple , peach cobbler, mince meat pies, cheesecake from Juniors and vanilla ice cream, I tell you no lies! We're all gathered around the table together, with our glasses of spiced apple cider held high, Grandpa saying his forever Thanksgiving grace and Grandma rolling her eyes! Aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and neices, if we don't eat soon, we're all going to fall to pieces! Suddenly a little voice rings out, no higher than a baby sprout, Grandpa, "I tired of standing on my two little feet, why can't you just say, Good Grub, Good Meat, Good GOD let's eat"!!!
