Thank You for Your Friendship

Thank You for Your Friendship

My soul feels like that of a queen
In my heart I have my friends
My life is truly blessed by you
For this happiness it never ends.

A smile, a giggle, a laugh or a cry
A handshake, a wave. or a soft embrace
These are the things that bring me hope
And bring a smile to my saddened face

In my life I had so many
That seemed to come and go
Some have touched the surface
Yet some have touched my soul

With a sweet shy smile of friendship
Or a boisterous laugh of glee
I never know how they come in
but without them, Where would I be?

Sitting in my wheelchair, I wonder
Why won't some talk to me.
But that is when I realize
How true a friendship can be

This poem I am writing
Is written for you my precious friend
Thank you for the laughter
And the memories that never end!!!!

A beautifully written poem about life's friendships, and their coming and going like the wind. I enjoyed it. Peace.....

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
