    Thank you, Clarabelle

    I new when I met you, that I had been blessed.
    to have you for a friend, because you're the best,'

    You listen to me and you hear what I say;
    you believe in me and you back my play.

    Embarrassed and broke, I need money to get by.
    Who can help me, I wonder, as I sit there and cry.

    I call my friend Clarabelle for help on the phone,
    Always you're there with the most gracious cash loan.

    I always appreciate you and the help that you give;
    without you, sometimes, I don't know how I'd live.

    By now I have told you what I did, and that I feel like "a shit";
    I broke our mutual agreement, not meaning to do it.

    I dont take you for granted and I don't lie to your face;
    Our friendship means more than my shame or disgrace

    I made a stupid mistake, I got lost in the greed;
    so forgive me and be my friend always, indeed!

    The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

    Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
