Teardrops

You sit in the dark

as you pour out your heart

each teardrop a stain on the page...

the moment it starts

it all falls apart

from laughter to anger, then rage...

there once was a time

when dance stepped with rhyme

your heart glowed with the thought of each day...

but these days you find

that love's not so kind

and hearts break, as they're parting their ways

I have read a few of your poems and though they are short they express the dark places we all feel lost in at times. more words would ruin them. good job. well written.

Another great poem. Continue to work your craft; you have the gift.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
