Tear Drops
Take awayend my pain
all the things not the same.
Render now my selfish life
deed be done with no light.
Release me now for ever more,
open wrists close the doors
peeling away all the pain
sorrow no longer is my name.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
