Poem Commentary

short but sweeet

summer gasps

~
The hot summer winds,
scorch the lands.
Leaving nothing but the faint gasps of dehydration.
Another drop of sweat trickles down my cheek.
Day After day,
I'd pray, for a time when the snow angels would dance on my tongue.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
