    Stars

Close your eyes and make a wish,
For some money or that special kiss,
The star you made your wish upon,
    Is falling from the sky,
You wish that you could catch it,
But you didn't wish to fly.
Some stars are made to wish upon,
    Some just to shine,
Some just to sit and stare at,
    And that's totally fine.
Stars are always there when you cannot see,
    Stars make up dreams,
    And dreams make up me!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
