    S.O.S.

    S.O.S.

So I write this letter in regards to myself
To a means to an end, that is in itself
Thoughts that plague my mind, but it is me
I feel beneath tides and oceans
    Lost among the drifting rocks..
Does anyone care to read this letter?
For I reach not for attention, maybe
For a care in the world, nothing else
That I find peace of mind behind the shadows
Swallowing the bleeding sun light whole
That I am not alone on this deserted island stone..
Where my life finds meaning, when I reach inside myself
Where my life and the lives of yourselves
Finds meaning explained in it all
That I may love for my love and not for myself..
May I speak the words to save myself from sorrow..
May the pain I feel, kill itself with all of my doubts, all of my insecurities, and all of my thoughts that defile..
    I am in love..
    Oh yes how it hurts..
Oh yes how I'd never change the disaster that placed me here alone
That my life not be wasted on foolish things that have no meaning
You're all I long for burned deep inside
but how tragic to think that it may never be
but how tragic to think that it may
For life is a process I can not know..
    I can not control
I scream SOS so hear me now
My breaths are short and my heart is faint
I give it up for you, I give all I have
    Love is a promise
True love is a promise, I'd never break
but the ground beneath me is broken!
and I'm sinking here into solid stone
but how can this be when I've been alive through it all before?
IF this may reach you, you have found a way to find me once again
Reach into yourself to see, your heart play a movie to teach you all again
You know how to find me
    You know how to love
Save me please, I'm drowning here alone
Save me before I turn into stone!
I'm here, I'm here, but where are you?
I'm waiting maybe for nothing, but I'll end right here
SOS, I'm not gone forever, just until if you decide to save me now, before I'm gone
    I'm gone, I'm gone, before I'm gone
I'm gone, I'm gone, if you burn up this fight
I'm here, always here, if you treat me right
I'm here, I'm here if you kiss me tonight

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
