Sleepless Memories

Sleepless Memories

Awakened by your voice I rise

From sleep so deep, I rub my eyes

And slowly start to realize

That I'm alone, this voice a lie

Brought by memorys gone awry

I can not control, though I try

Bringing pain I can't defy

I close my eyes, begin to lie

Hoping for some sleep tonight

I bid these memories goodbye

Along with pain I try to deny

Sleep brings comfort, though belie

So now I sleep, alone, goodnight
