    Sky

Sky endlessly high stretching to icy north, frigid south, lush east, and baron west all four corners of the earth surrounding us everywhere we go. And yet it’s as real as the wizards and dragons in fairytales. For the sky we see above is an image of lies, the real sky above is black with shinny dots scattered all over it and one big dot much bigger than the rest and even this bigger dot is a lie, for its light it shines on us is not its own and its blue light like the sky we see all comes from our sun a fiery ball of fire warming us giving us light and yet is exploited by the lies and it's taken as less, for many on this earth does not realize its power and magnifigance.

i also like this poem.. makes ya really think about the sky and what it really might be!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
