S(he's) Br(ok)en

She hears his voice, telling her she’s nothing

She hears him yelling. Can she hear me?

I eye her as she eyes the blade.

Hoping that she’ll realize it

Realize he’s not worth it

Instead she grabs it

I reach for her

I’m too slow

Wrists slit

Why?

Him

It’s him

He’s the cause

Harsh words spoken

Her heart was broken

He toyed with her feelings.

Told her that he would love her.

Yet he stayed out with another.

No longer held her like he used to.

Knew she was broken, so he was okay.

harsh reality just remember that he's got you covered and you'll never be broken

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
