She Dances
Slow, graceful, poisedGliding along the studio floor.
Jump, twirl, lean down, hands raised,
Repeat, once, twice, thrice, and then a fourth,
Dancing everything out.
Confusion, disappointment, anger, tragedies of death,
All reverberate around the room,
Yet she is graceful, quite, and poised.
Frustration, sadness, loneliness, darkness, all around
But for the little spotlight around her
Pain, fear, madness, that is the reflection
Seen as she glides past the mirror,
Yet lightness surrounds her.
