Shadows Of A Tormented Mind

Shadows Of A Tormented Mind

The torment of that hour echoed through her mind with an unending power.
     The moment seeming....never ending.....
Only left her spirit broken and mercy pleading.
Night after tormented night... they did haunt her till the mornings light.
And although she did desperately seek.... a way to fight their onslaughts deep.....
Her spirit collapsed, for she had grown too weak.
But alone in her soul.... way deep inside....
Lie a seed of hope, that would later grow into a mountain of faith....
To superceed those mean olde devils.....
Till pure clarity of heart, mind and soul...
     Returned her sanity once more!
Then she could tend the closets of her mind.....
Sweeping clean the shadows, like night when daylight creeps...!

This is a great write and only needs to be structured into stanzas. ... SBear

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
