    SETTING RECORDS STRAIGHT

So you think your reasons seem just.
See only with your eyes because you must.
If fishes were fairies and trolls,
then who may i ask do you trust?
    Were you ever told?

    Stories and legends,fairytales too,
all put together would say what is true.
Liars are always sold to the buyers.
    i guess all and all
    This is you too.

    Where is the blood?
    can you find the blue?
    the blood slain for you?

have i mentioned, by the way,
you have hit my bluest vein
    weather is always true
    whether its always not
    Then or the new
    i too knew you.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
