    Season Ending

    The end of baseball season,
Cub fans one and all grown at another loosing season.
One more meal at the fast food restaurant.
One last paycheck to pick up.
If only they wereone more game to play and chase thesnow away.
No more hunt for blue October.
It's just another cold dull october.

Breakfast with friends one last time.
If only they were more warm summer days.
Alass soon the snow does fly.
The time for baseball has come and gone.
With hope it will come again with the melting of the snow,
    and spring rain

    Play Ball!
