Searched For Love

Searched For Love

I searched for love
The illusive dream.
I searched for love
But knew not what it means.

I searched for love
When God intervened.
He showed me love upon a tree
That tree was calvery
Jesus died for me, the unclean

Today, His blood covers me
I searched for love
God made me see
His love is all that I need.

Searched for love cannot be seen
As a frivolous sporting spree
Look within, God's love is in you and me
Let His love shines for eternity.

Thank you very much. I do appreciate your comment, and I need to proof read more. God Bless!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
