    Scarlet River

She did nothing wrong, she was innocent as can be. She was good you see. She is walking, sprinting, running, in a deep dark ally.

She ran into the wrong gang, a wrong turn way back. She came in at a
bad time, and they made her world turn black. She is scared, surrounded, shot, in a deep dark ally.

She knows she did nothing wrong, her heart has almost given up. As she slowly starts to cry, in her mind she is asking "why?" She is giving up, loosing hope, giving in, in a scarlet red river.

She tries so hard to call for help, but her voice is lost. Though she did not do any wrong, She must pay the cost. She calls, can't, cries, in a scarlet red river.

As she finally begins her descent, she quietly says "goodbye." and all the is on her poor mind, is one word: "die." She is dying, dies, dead, in a scarlet red river.

I like your directtness but you pass a point wjere you tell a story but no longer paint a picyure of the events occurring ,I loved your brilliant use of die & dieing I saw in my mind eye a woman drowning in a red river. Thanks for the Poem

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
