Restored

I was spinning, drowning in self pitty
When all the while He was there reaching
I was pushing and shoving what I knew what was wright
I lost sight , rolled my eyes back to darkness
I thought it harmless, then I felt the damage a long the way
Went numb and dumb
I was fighting when a battle that It was said lost
I went on the wrong
Then my hearts proud left and I reached to my Hope again
Bitterness I have surrenderd to Him and He filled my everybone and all flesh and blood with Joy .
I was suffering when I didn't have to
I could of had joy long ago if it wasn't for this dark in me. Pride
They say pride comes before the fall.
I know it true
You know I think Hes reaching for you
I know Hes calling you.
I know He can give you what you need
If you just let Him in.

another good one, same comment as before though, because it should score much higher which it deserves

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
