remember to enjoy the little things.

remember to enjoy the little things.

there was a funeral for the sun
and we all wore white.

on the day she decided to slip into a passing black hole
leaving the earth with no light.

so now we thrive on moonshine
to get us through the night.

laughing over the memories
of when we were all so bright.

This is really creative and would be a wonderful eulogy. Very sad, yet poignant and sweet.

A simple and sweet piece that reminds us all that small rewards add up. Nice write. tlady

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
