    Remember For Me

What happens when they are all gone?

What do I get to see?

All the strangers standing next to me?

What happens when I can’t remember

    How I came to be

    My life will be meaningless

And not even I will be able to see

I’m scared to forget those times

That made me who I am today

I’m scared to forget my memories

That filled up all those days

What would life be without remembering?

What would everything be to me?

Just a person here with nothing

    Nothing left to see

    Please don’t let me ever

Forget how I came to be

    Because if I ever do

Ill be lost and Ill forget to be me

To all my friends and family

    If I ever do forget

Remember you held a piece of my heart

    Something that holds no regret

    You remember who I am

    Please remember

    Just for me.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
