    Red Headed Pixy

    For Patricia Nelles

I found laughter in the eyes
    of a red headed Pixey
A mentor so giving, so bright
Her smile could out shine the sun
A gift easily missed in the night

    She was ageless her soul
    She was child-like her goal
    She was "mother" to any
    She was "teacher" to many

Tender and sweet Red Headed Pixy
Many miss you and even though
Our Pixy may have left us quite early
I'm far better for knowing you so

I found love in the heart
    of a Red Headed Pixy
Her life's in the stars and much more
The angel's are gladdened to see her
Our Pixie's at Heaven's great door

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
