Rebirth

When dreams collide with reality within oneself, the true aspect must agree with the innate that,

the time has come to merge fiction and truth.

When the furies descend upon one within clouds of self-doubt,

advance, advance with claw and nail and naked tooth time and time and time again.

When ones muse feigns a loss of desire while evoking nightmares,

it’s time to emerge from the darkness.

When one’s demons battle over one’s terms of nonexistence,

it’s time to cast away and  be reborn,

When one decides to follow one’s dream, the present reality will know

it’s time to surrender.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
