    RAILROAD TRACKS

    RAILROAD TRACKS

    Steel rails
    Wooden ties
    Scraggly grass endeavoring
    to reclaim.

    Walkin' the rails
    Don't look back...

    Strange compulsion
    luring the human
    Follow me
    Come with me
    Where do I go?
    (How can wood and
    steel woo or compel?)

    Walkin' the rails
    Don't look back...

    Balance on the rails
    Stretch legs
    tie to tie.
    Look ahead
    down that
    straight line

    Walkin' the rails
    Don't look back...

    Feeling of Adventure
    (from steel and wood?)
    Leaving the ordinary
    Behind.
    Walking on train
    tracks.

    Walkin' the rails
    Never look back...

I love the emotion behind this poem. You do well with stemming out in your topics in your poetry. It's focused, yet openely creative.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
