    "HEY OLD MAN"

Hey old man, our son and I are missing you so much,
Its been a year since we have heard your voice or felt your touch,
We are just missing you so much...

I drempt of you again lastnight,
Your always standing in such a beautiful light,
I was hoping that you would come to our son too, that you just might,
He's growing up, hiding his grief, putting up a good fight,
I know your watching over him although not in sight,
He just needs to see you and i was just hoping you might come to him one night...

Hey old man we're just missing you every day,
I know God had his reason for taking you away,
We need you here in such a huge way, but hey old man, we'll be OK,
I know that because thats what you would SAY....

While I feel the longing and pain of the voice of this poem, the style in which it is presented makes it difficult to read as poetry.

Thankyou so much for your comment Paolo, I understand exactly, i read yours and they are difficult for me, all poets write so differently, don't they? Thanks again.. Christine

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
