I make tribute and memorial plaques for those whom have lost their beloved pets. If you are an animal lover, respect the emptiness endured by others in the loss of a dear one, and wish to compose a short verse for such a remembrance, I would certainly appreciate the opportunity to read them on line.

I do not consider myself to be a "true" poet; I only can say what is in my heart. I try to write from the standpoint of what the pet would say to their owner if they once again had the chance.

I wrote the following for "Buttons", my Golden Retriever that I lost in 2008 to fourteen years of age.

"I loved you beyond any measure of man
I trusted in you, I believed in you, as no human can
You were my comfort in every time of need
My voice when no one else could heed

You fed me, you loved me, you held me
You cared for me when I was sick or in pain
Oh, how I wish
That you could hold me again"
