Biography

Bob Morrison was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming to a ranching family from nearby Chugwater. His earliest memories are of the ranch and the hard working, hard playing people of his heritage. Bob attended high school in Sacramento, California. A good student, energetic and active in sports, Bob enjoyed people and any new adventure that presented itself. After 1 year in the local city college, Bob left home to study public relations and play football at the University of Hawaii. But he was getting restless. He returned to the mainland, bought his first motorcycle and set out to learn about people, life and love on the open road.

Although my first trip took only 13 weeks, it awakened a spirit - a thirst - within me. Just one year after returning to Hawaii, I headed for the mainland again and bought another motorcycle. This time it took seven months to go from San Diego to Cape Cod - by way of Canada - and it was 15 years before I called any one place home. During my travels I made a living as a tour guide in Miami, built railroad track for Union Pacific in Wyoming, raced cars in Louisiana and played blackjack in Las Vegas. I sold life insurance in San Francisco, worked in radio as a DJ and a sports reporter; sold advertising in San Francisco, mined for gold in western Arizona and worked construction in Tucson. And all along the way Reflections: Away With Words was being written.
Today he still loves to travel, but he does so mostly for business or to visit family. I'm a realtor in Tucson, AZ and own a advertising agency in Tucson where I live with my wife (my best friend), her neurotic cat, and of course... my Harley.

You had lots of advantures in your life.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
