If living a diverse an interesting life gives one fuel to write, then I should have plenty of material. I've lived in several countries and had varied careers one of them being a professor of English Literature. I was also in show business for years (an exotic dancer, or stripper, if you will).
My influences are Li-Po, (marvelous use of misdirection as in the Riverman's Daughter. I think the sensitivity and syntax of Dickinson. Adrienne Rich. Bukowski Ginsberg and of course Geoffrey Chaucer.
