I was born and raised in Franfurt, West Germany. My Family immigrated to Edmonds, Washington in 1969 when I was 11 years old but had a very hard time learning English. I spent nearly two very difficult years in the the process of that. Once that process clicked in, I developed a great love for reading anything and everything. An avid and voracious reader in 8th Grade resulted in the bestowal of a very coveted title and award, "Bookworm of the Year" (I know, big whoop!, but for Me, it was a great success) I began journaling my life when I found that it was of merit and deserved to be shared when the time was right. I was a Sailor in the Navy with a Helicopter Squadron, a Personnel Administrator, a Parts Procurement Clerk, a Muralist, a Graphics Illustrator, a Furniture Mover, an International Mail Courier, a Night Club Security Manager, a Body Guard, a Rental Agent, a Transportation Manager, a Technician, a Landscaper and Designer, a Carpenter, a Roofer and a Shoe Salesman. I suffered three great tragedies in the past three and a half years that have, at first, caused me to slide slowly into the Hell of Mental Illness; second, it took two years before I began to truly understand Who I really was and why I did not see my sudden lapse of sanity; third and finally, this awareness made me step back and come to the realization that there is more to life than what caused my downfall. Today, in the present, I am currently fulfilling my life's dream as an Artist and Poet in the small town of Leavenworth, Washington, "America's Bavarian Village", designing Greeting Cards and Original Art Prints using the medium of Prismacolor Pencils. My interpretations of what I see is the preciseness of what I see. This is evident in my drawings and, more importantly, in the clear and down to earth narratives of my thoughts, dreams, visions and interpretations of life around Me, as well as that which lurks in the gray confines of my subconscious. I am also caring for my Mother and Stepfather as a property manager and as just a good Son who wants their last years to be better than their past.
