Places in Between

As the rain falls

In the places in between,

Hell begins to lose its terror sheen.

The thunder cracks

As the lightning flares,

Make a sound so I know you are there.

What I need tonight

Isn’t  rain’s sound,

But instead the music you have found.

We’re caught in this world

Not ready to let go,

Our bravery is something the world we must show.

With each passing moment

I can feel the growing fear,

Down my cheek slides a crystal tear.

But you’re still missing

Caught in a twilight place,

I’d give a vast amount to see your face.

Come with me,

Have no fright,

Together we will defeat the night.
