Penetrating heat

Penetrating heat

Penetrating heat boils my skin
laying there not knowing where I've been
i begging to wonder "will i go under?"
i sneak a peak ultra violet rays
clamp my eyelids shut with not a leak
has my resting place been chosen
without my consent arisen?
that raging hand constraining my back
against the rough sand my only aid
a thick impregnable cloud to shield my pains raid
earths grain forms a cover shear agony
becomes my lover day light hours seem so long
what have i done so wrong why cannot i die
in ease so could resting peace
A slow end is deaths picture frame for me.

and death becomes you... welcomes you... chewes you up, and spits you out --- darkly darkly. great, i see me heading that way.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
