Peace By Robert K. Blankenship

Peace, the unobtainable gift to man,
Greed stands at the gate of recieving
not allowing any reaching hand
to latch onto the wormth of its'greetine.
God gave to all, freedom and peace of mind,
the ability to think, do, and build
things which better the lives of mankind,
to plant the seed for food of its yeald.
Man misused Gods given abilities,
made his own laws to protect man from man
now he prays for the return of that peace
fights for his freedom and wins if he can
finds himself down on his knees
praying for reform from all his lackings
to the God he hopes to please
with all his material being.
Bound by the laws he gave to hisself
he hopes for a life of peace he knew
By reading the words from a book he shelved
he finds the formula long past due.
