    Patience

In the morning my mind is at ease
I got a good night's sleep so I am pleased
Then I look to my left and it's empty
I look to my right and remember it's just me
    ...and I am lonely
    Why can't I find him?
    Why does he hide?
Is it because it is not time?
I can't make up my mind
A good excuse is hard to find
    I don't understand
Why's it so hard to find my man?
    I hurt
    I stay busy
but I always wonder, "Where is he"?
Wonder what it'll feel like when he holds me
    when he kisses me
What his body will feel like against mine
How do I silence such questions?
How do I silence my curiosity?
    Will I find him soon?
    What's the possibility?
I don't just want to find someone
I've done that and it's not fun
    It's confusing
    Are you the one?
    Are you?
For every one step forward, they take back two
I truly don't know what to do
    I'm not quite blue...
    Nor am I through
When it comes to look for you
    There's nothing I can do
Just have to know that you know what you're doing
    ...and wait for you

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
