OUT OF THE BLUE
“OUT OF THE BLUE”
Out of the blue
Yesterday memories ----
Words spoken, a tune played
Reminds you of someone special.
Catching your breath…
Dreaming of the place and time
Remembering special moments,
Out of the blue
When we’ve matured
Slow is the pace----
Seeing and hearing
Wonders of the universe.
Reflecting on our lives,
Smiling of days gone by
Greatest beauty of life
Maybe the saddest.
Regrets we have
And mistakes too…
By chance we would undo
Out of the blue.
A second chance,
Again I would do,
Mistakes I would mend
Apologizes too.
Deeper love and kindness
Catch more butterflies,
Smell more roses too.
Savor life to fullest, I would do.
My heart and soul
I would be most true---
Looking closer at my life
Smiles of gratitude.
Fountain of youth long gone
I greet the future---
Head on, singing a song---
Out of the blue.
