    Our Love

    The days are short,
    The nights are long.
I count the days until your home again.
    Come home to me,
    Come hold me tight.
Let me feels your arms surround me.
Embrace me with your soft touch.
    Kiss me now,
    Don’t stop.

    Welcome home,
    I missed you so.
Why did you ever have to go?
    Please stay with me,
    Don’t ever go away.
    Let’s hold each other close,
    Let me feel you near.

My heart aches when you not here,
My soul is vacant and longs for your touch.
    My life seems hollow,
    Like an empty tree,
With out you to be with me.

    Our love is pure,
    As the morning sun,
    The touch of your hand,
    Beam across the lands.
    The gleaming moon,
Lights the way into our hearts.
    So we will never part.

    Two hearts beating as one,
    Like a musical rhythm,
    Pounding to a drum.
    The enchanted songs,
    Our hearts sing.

    I love you,
    I love you,
    More than you ever know.
    Our love never stops growing,
    Like a bright new day,
    It so amazing,
    How much I love you.
    I always look forward,
Waking up to you every morning,
    The warmth of your skin,
    Touch of your lips.
Lets me know we are meant to be.
    Lets stay this way forever,
    Our love growing strong,
    Our hearts and souls,
    Beating as one.

I really enjoyed this poem. Often love poems are so personal that they seem repetitous, but your is fresh. Thank you for sharing.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
