    Our Bond

When we agreed to break up I didn’t understand my feelings for you.
Now seeing you with your new girlfriend, a new pain hits me hard.
Remembering all those secrets we shared, now I wonder if you two have secrets too.
You and I shared something special, a friendship, a relationship and a bond.
    Now I regret losing you.
Tonight I dream of our last night that we shared.
Dreaming about you and me, still together.
But I thank god that we are still friends.
Other wise I’d be lost without you by my side.
We’ve been through good times, hard times and sad times.
But being with you is always a good time.
The thing you must remember is we still share a friendship and bond.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
