Ode to my Father
When a man's existence ceasesAnd his life beyond begins
Those left behind, must carry on
And prove their faith in him.
God giveth and he taketh
His reasons hard to see
But he leaves us with his blessings
On the wings of memory....

I wrote this at age 18 when my father suddenly died of a heart attack.And his life beyond begins
