Not There

    Not There

    I wake up
in the middle of the night
    holding my pillow tight.
    Visualizing you being there
I cant help but to see
    the emptiness inside me.
    I try to sleep
    but your eyes appear
    then i shed a tear
    knowing that your not there.
I look at the picture of us
and just stare like i was dead.
    Sleep seems meaningless
    Life itself is horrible
    it feels uncurable
    but one touch
    one kiss
    one look
    would heal all
    if you were here.

they say to leave the best for last!! this one is the best..very easy to feel this one,, really hope you write more, enjoy reading your work...

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
