    Poem Commentary

What you would do for love............

Not perfect, Not skinny, Die trying

    Not perfect never will be.
    Not skinny never will be.
    Not loved by him.
Why? Because I'm not perfect or skinny.
All I can do is walk away or die.
No more food in my mouth, No more anything for me.
Get to the size he wants, I may die trying.
Maybe then he'll see what I'd do to keep him with me.
Not perfect, never will be. Not skinny, never will be. Not to him, not ever,
    til I die trying.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
