    Never Get Far

When she looks at me, I can’t help but to smile

Though this love will never be, because I’m not her kind of style

My anxiety overwhelms me as I sit in a corner and stare

Why is it that this feeling stays within me, even though she does not care

Her wondrous eyes seem to look through every certain place

But as she looks on, she doesn’t seem to notice my face

Sure there’s a few talks we exchange here and there

But my love for her, is probably something we will not share

But why my love for her still lingers within my heart

The thought of it really just tears me apart

You see I look through her pretty brown eyes, and reach into her clean soul

Going past our many differences that we have unfold

Now, my affectionate feeling is a lot more rare than that of lust

Because a woman’s body is beautiful

But not more important than a man and a woman’s trust

    Then…I always get lost again

Deep in my love you see

Yet again I forget that this will not be

    This is something beyond reach

    Something beyond a dream

Because love is a lot more important than kisses and roses

Even though that is how love seems

Love is a heart-warming affection, something to be proud of

My feeling is set into confusion

Something I can’t make any sense out of

So I start to think is this all really worth my while

She looks into my eyes, and I look back into hers and I smile

    Later on I scream, Yes

As I look up towards the stars

My love will be buried within me forever

Along with the thought that we will never get far

Vital, I like the part where you scream. It is so youthful. Sigh...young love...everyone wants to inspire poetry like that to somebody.

    i love your poem!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
