    My Spirit Friend

    My Spirit Friend

My Spirit Friend, all dressed in white,
Would take my little hand so very tight,
    And tell me...softly...
"Everything is going to be alright."

My Spirit Friend, all dressed in white,
From my childish eyes could see,
    However transparent he might be
Just like seeing you and me.

My Spirit Friend, all dressed in white
Would come to me in dreams at night.
And wake me in the morning light.
Just to tell me "everything will be alright."

My Spirit Friend, all dressed in white
Would fly with me in the moonlight.
I could feel the love all around,
Then back to my bed, I would be found.

My Spirit Friend all dressed in white,
    Disappeared from my very sight.
Where was he during my growing years?
"Everything is going to be alright" I needed to hear

My Spirit Friend all dressed white
Releasing all my fears has brought to light.
My Spirit Friend back into sight.
Softly telling me, "everything is going to be alright."

aho! fear pushes away more than we know ... creates barriers, so concrete sometimes even a spirit friend can't pass ... beautiful write, ty for this!

I really enjoyed this. Our spirit friend, or guide, leads us through our lives and whether they be seen or unseen, we are safe in acknowledging their message that "Everything will be alright!" Thank you for sharing this.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
