MY HEART SPOKE TO ME...

Foul words being uttered nothing pleasant ever spoke,
pumping out blood to an individual that seems so remote
Trapped inside a body it wishes it could abandon,
a heart that speaks to an American in Spanish.
Speaking words unbelievable to his provider and why?
She placed in front of it a barrier and she can’t hear it cry.
Longing for attention, true love and affection,
pondering a way to break this unbearable mess it’s trapped in.
A heart that’s been hurt so much by men, family and so called friends,
it no longer wishes to perform its duty and spill out bundles of joy within.
Injected with unknown drugs, placed in a emotional war that can’t be won
It yells to its human… * Kill me, induce me rip me out I can’t run!*
Luckily a voice speaks to me and I realize what it is I’ve done.
I’ve thought about me and not about you, a heart that is so uniquely true.
Showing love but not receiving a gift in return, oh lord, what did I do?
A heart that’s strong, bright red and allows me to live,
you could’ve given up on me but you pumped for some odd years.
I am obliged by that and you will not hurt again,
please heart, I’m begging for one more chance.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
