MY DEAREST MOTHER

MY DEAREST MOTHER

A gem. Precious and priceless, no other can take your place. One who is strong and wise . Full of dignity and full of grace.
Throughout your pregnancy you new my every move. You cared with tender feeling, in every way this, you did prove.
Even at times when you were  sick and feeling very low. You still fed and nourished me knowing inside you i would grow.
You continued this day by day. Untill that day when it was time. When the doctor pulled me from you, turned to you and said "everything is fine."
You awaited for those words"its a boy" or "its a girl." As long as i was healthy you brought a new life into this world.
As time went by you taught me all the things i needed to know. And as i got older you said "my where did the time go?"
Through the many years you have been thru my ups and my downs. You joined in with my smiles and brought me out of my frowns.
Even after leaving home I have run back to you for safety. You continue to be there for me. I must ask what have i done for you lately?

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
