    Mr Depression

Mr. Depression, you’re a clever sort I see,
Running about my life so carelessly,

Sneaking in the back door of my mind,
Tricking the guard there, saying everything's fine,

Eating at the very fibers that hold my soul, together
Marching down hope’s main street, you cheat.

Mr. Depression you are an evil one I know
Because without you these thoughts never do appear.

Mistrust, fear hiding from the sun’s light.
Damn your existence, you villain of happiness!

What is it that brings you to me constantly?
I'd gladly pay with years of my life if only you'd let me be.

Set me free, Mr. Depression, go plague another.
Give me a break, enough already, for God's sake
