Moving Clouds

Moving Clouds

I am moving clouds today,

freeing the sun to clear my mind.

Clearing my mind to focus on

the trials of my heart.

My heart is tied in knots and bows,

feeling things not felt in years.

Years of guarding, never waning

in the defense of being hurt again.

The hurt was severe and cut me

deep. Recovery is taking time.

“Time heals all wounds” they say.

My wounds must be unique.

Unique in the scope not in the

manner, it is old as the world.

Worlds of pain and love,

more intense than fire.

Fires scorched the souls of

men for many millennia.

Millennia spent searching for

the cure to heartbreak.

Heartbreak leaves a scar,

almost impossible to heal.

Healing is the highest mountain

with only hope as a guide.

Hope that you will never feel

the pain of losing love again.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
