Mothers Day Prayer

Mothers Day Prayer

Mother I miss you each and everyday.

Before I go to bed I silently pray.

Lord please watch over my mother,

and help her to be happy.

And let her know that I,m o k.

All of the celebrations we have for each other,

here on earth.

Without you being here with me

I,am not so happy, because I terribly miss you,

and me.

But, I do know that your in a better place now.

I sure wish that I can be with some how?

My life is not the same as it used to be.

No more stress and super depressed.

I,m older now at 60 years old.

Acting older as a adult, so I,m told.

There are moments as I feel the child,

inside of me.

Always wandering were my mother can be?

Mother, someday I pray that I will be with you.

Far up in heaven were the sky is so blue.

And to have my life be all fresh and renewed.

Since Ive seen you last.

My life now is very much different than the past.

I,m a Author and a Artist and have written 13 books.

They are all published for people to look.

You see mom I,m very different now.

With my head on my shoulders without a sad frown.

I know mom this would make you very happy if you seen me.

We both would be so happy with glee!

You and dad would have been so proud of me.

No more terror and night mares mom,

only missing you and dad as you have been gone.

Someday, when I go away,I hope it will be.

Once more and forever you, dad and me.

All of our family will be there too,

All getting together like we used to do.

Today is Mothers Day,and I want to send you my Love.

Far up in the heavens above.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
